American Sports UK is part of Taylor Enterprises whose founder
Mr. Mike Taylor, has been supplying American sports equipment and clothing since it all began here in the UK in 1982. Since then Mr Taylor has expanded his vast knowledge of sports and now shares his knowledge with his customers through an excellent service to all levels of player.

"Back in 1992, I started university at Staffordshire, who where then setting up a new team ( go stallions! ), as someone who was already involved in the sport with the sadly missed Leicester Panthers I got roped into the setting up of the team as ( amongst other things) equipment manager.

For four years I would drive the minibus up to Altrincham with shopping list agreed with the union.
Every year I came back with all my needs and more to very a happy team.
Some 14 years later I still get my equipment from mike and I always will, as an 'old hand' I never hesitate to send new players to mike to get kit, his stuff is great value, he offers excellent service and you will get what you want when he says you will. The guy is the one of the biggest unsung hero's of football in the UK due the fact that he has continued to supply so many players through boom and (almost) bust in the sport.

"I've been dealing with Mike for little over a year now. The service is always excellent, and in the past i have needed things quickly and usually got them the next day.

If new to the sport stop looking for the right deal now! For �250 you can have everything you will ever need to play the sport, at an unbelivable price. What good about Mike's starter kit is the quality of stuff you get for the price you pay, the Schutt helmet is a really reliable helmet to have, and the GTA pads are really comfortbale, and the only good thing is, after your first season if you decide the sport is'nt for you, then you haven't lost much as the price was a steal in the first place. My starter pack was good to me last year, and i only upgraded to all this new gear this week, as i am taking the sport alot more seriously now, and so stepped up to the mighty Riddell pads, which again Mike sells at a really low price.

Have dealt with Mike on numerous occasions and the service is always excellent, and the communication between the two of us was always friendly and always very fast. He does'nt try any sly moves, and he will give you the best deal he can tailored towards your needs and position. Will be back again no doubt. "During my 20 year involvement with Gridiron in the United Kingdom I have used many equipment suppliers and American Sports have proven time and time again they are by far the best.
What stands out for me is the customer service Mike Taylor personally provides. Because he holds a large amount of equipment in stock delivery is always prompt. On the rare occasion that he doesn't have an item he wont make false promises or lie about when he will do and you can bet your life he'll get it to you when he says he will. I'd rather pay a little bit more for this quality service than use so called 'cheaper' suppliers because you'll end up paying more in the long run.
It was because of this that i chose American Sports as my main supplier when I started the Cambridgeshire Cats in 2001. Anybody who has started a new team will know just how difficult this process is and Mike's enthusiastic assistance was crucial in the Cats development.

But I was most impressed with the speed of the delivery. I ordered my equipment at around 2.30pm on a Wednesday, and they were at the doorstep by 12.05 the next day.
